(Petaling Jaya - HQ) - One of our drone repair experts will contact you with step-by-step guidance on the restoration ofĀ minorĀ issues. ForĀ majorĀ issues, our drone repair experts will provide you with details for you to send the drone to us.
- YouĀ drop off or shipĀ us your broken drone.
- We give you a confirmationĀ upon receival of the drone. (If shipped.)
- We will then perform a diagnostic, and send you a quote for repairs within 24 hours.
- If youĀ approve, the drone will be repaired and tested. If you decided not to repair, we charge a RM50 diagnostic fee.
- Repair is paid byĀ cash or bank transfer.
- The drone is returned to you, and you are back flying!
Drone Inspection & Maintenance Service
Over time your drone experiences ware and tear. Hard landings, small crashes, motor vibration, and many other factors take their toll on your drone. Doing an inspection and preventive maintenance could save you headaches and money.
We will do:
- Test flight
- Full diagnostic (inside & out)
- Firmware updates (drone & remote control)
- Circuit board inspection for loose components and questionable solder joints, touching up as needed.
- Clean out unwanted materials on motors and inside drone.
- Wipe down outside.
This preventive service is highly recommended at a minimum of once a year (maybe more) depending how often you fly your drone.
Our own drones go through this process on a quarterly basis.
Drone Rental Service

Our rental options are flexible, ranging fromĀ daily to monthly hire, and our store locations are conveniently located throughout Malaysia, ensuring that you can obtain the drone you require with ease.
Our rental fleet includes some of the most popular drones, such as the DJI Air 2S, Phantom 4 RTK, and the Matrice 300 RTK, and we provide an array of payloads, including high-resolution survey-grade RTK cameras, top-of-the-line thermal sensors, PPK enabled systems, and a range of lenses to meet any requirement.
At DronesKaki, we prioritize the safety and maintenance of our equipment, which is why all of our rental equipment isĀ inspected and servicedĀ by our official team before use, ensuring a stress-free experience for our clients.Ā
Please be aware that aĀ security depositĀ is necessary for all rental equipment unless you have a certificate of insurance for the rental equipment before renting. Additionally, our team requires a 48-hour notice prior to the rental start date (although same-day rentals can be arranged), and pick-up/drop-off is only possible during store opening hours.
Frequently Asked Questions (Rental)
How do I book online?
Simply Whatsapp or message us thru our website with necessary information (Name, Mobile No, Product Model, Pickup Date & Return Date) and our team will get back to you within 1 business day. They will let you know whether your desired time period is available and whether or not they need to change.
How will I know my booking is confirmed?
Our team will contact you either through WhatsApp / Call to let you know whether the dates are available for your selected equipment. In the event the equipment is not available, we will provide alternative dates or equipment. Without confirmation, we cannot rent the equipment out.
Why do I need to present an ID?
This is to ensure the person who enquired, signed the rental agreement is the same person who is picking up and renting the equipment. Without a valid ID, we will be unable to release the goods at our store.
What is the security deposit?
The security deposit is the bond that is required to rent the drone. Once the equipment has been returned to store in its original condition (accessories included), the security deposit will be returned.
How old do I have to be to rent a drone?
You will need to be at the age of 18 or above in order to rent a drone.
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period is 1 day and the maximum period is determined by the availability and long term rentals can be organised.
What are the restrictions when using a rental drone?
There are software restrictions on the drone through the DJI Geo Zones. We recommend getting yourself familiar with their restricted fly zones to ensure the area you plan to fly is all clear.
Do I need to check the condition of the drone before I leave the store?
You are welcome to do your own inspection of the rental equipment before you leave the store. Our team would have completed a rental checklist and highlighted any signs of damage along with wear and tear before handing the drone over.
Can I return the drone outside of opening hours?
Unfortunately you can only return the drone during opening hours. A late fee may apply if the rental is returned after the expected return date.
Can I extend my rental?
Yes. You can extend your rental provided you give 24 hours notice to the store to ensure the extension can be granted.
What do I do if the drone does not work after leaving the store?
You must contact our store or rental team and they will go through debugging steps. Sometimes, the drone may need a quick calibration for it to work in your area or place you want to fly.
What do I do if the drone is returned in a different condition?
Any damage made to the drone will be deducted from the security deposit that was paid. This will also include lost drones that were not warranty related.
What if I have an accident?
You will need to record details of the accident and return the damaged aircraft (with all the pieces if possible) back to the store for assessment. The assessment will involve a damage diagnosis along with a quotation for repair. This will then be deducted from the security deposit. This also includes damage to accessories.
What happens if the drone flies away?
If the drone flies away, it is important to sync the flight records to the DJI server for flight analysis. Reason being is the drone could have malfunctioned during flight that was not caused by the Pilot. In this event, the drone would be covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
Am I liable for damage caused by the drone?
Yes. Jaya Intrabumi Niaga (M) Sdn. Bhd. & Teguh Inovasi (M) Sdn. Bhd. will not be liable for any damage caused to any person or object during the rental period.
Drone Trade-In Service
Trade-in your DJI drone forĀ creditĀ towards purchasing the DJI drone of your choice. Regardless of its condition, we can help you turn it into something useful. Some other DJI products may also qualify for trade-in credit; please inquire for more information.
The value of your trade-in will be determined by the condition of your device and any accompanying accessories, with credit based on the full recommended retail price.
Simply answer a few questions about your device, and one of our team members will contact you with an estimated trade-in value.

1. Check your eligibility
Simply WhatsApp us or chat us via website to check your drone is eligible and you will receive a reply by our team within 1 week with the eligibility and trade-in credit.
2. Prepare Device
Your data stays safe. Before you hand over your device, ensure there is no information store in the internal storage or an SD card. Please note all information will be wiped in-store so please ensure your back-up your photos/images beforehand.
3. Visit Store or Ship
The final step is to visit one of our stores to complete the trade-in or ship to our address depending on what has been discussed. Our team will do the final checks to ensure all error codes and physical damage are accounted for.

What is DronesKaki Trade-in program?
The DronesKaki Trade-in program is a program designed for you to trade in your old/used drone for credit that will offset the purchase price of the drone you want.
How does it work?
Our team will contact you within 1 week to let you know if your drone is eligible for trade-in and what the estimated credit will be and the price to trade-up into your desired drone.
If you accept the trade-up estimate you will need to prepare your drone to be traded-in. Simply, all you need to do is back-up your files on the internal storage, remove the SD and format the internal storage. You will find this setting in the photo/video settings.
If you wish to do the trade-up in store, simply visit our store and team members in-store will verify the trade-in estimate. If there are any additional issues with the drone, the trade-in value may be adjusted. Once the drones are swapped and the excess paid, you're all done and ready to enjoy your new drone!
If you wish to do the trade-up online, simply ship the drone to our address. If there are any additional issues with the drone, the trade-in value may be adjusted. Once the drones are swapped and the excess paid, we will ship your new drone out to you ASAP!
Regardless of how you trade in, it is important to note that if the condition of the drone doesn't match your description, an adjusted trade-in value will be provided. You will have the option to accept or reject the revised quote. If you reject it, your device will be returned to you.
What are the benefits of the DronesKaki Trade-in program?

How long does the trade-in take?
Generally it takes 1-3 weeks to complete the entire process. Trading in-store will generally be a faster process that shipping (especially during peak shipping periods). Providing accurate information ensures a fast and efficient process.
How much will I get for my trade-in?
There are different variables that will affect the trade in price. If the condition of the drone is described accurately, you will get a good estimate of your final trade-in credit. There are different conditions for the trade in value such as the physical condition of the drone, what error codes there are, how many hours the drone has flown, the life cycle of the product and the battery charge cycles. These are all factors that play part in the final trade-in value.
Where is the 'Up To' derived from?*
The "Up To" trade in credit is based on the specified drone model in Good condition. Depending on your model and condition, you may be eligible for a different trade-in amount.
Can I trade-in a water damaged drone?
Yes, you can trade in a water damaged drone.
Does the stock need to be Malaysian or can it be overseas?
The region where the drone has come from may affect the trade-in value, depending on how old the drone is.
If I bought a brand new drone that is still sealed, can I trade it in?
Yes you will be able to trade in drones from sealed to used and even water damaged. Depending on the region of the sealed drone, your trade-in credit will vary but will be on the higher end of the credit valuation.
Can I cancel my trade-in?
Yes you may cancel your trade in at any time, there are no strings attached.
If you shipped your drone to us and then cancel, you will need to pay postage fees back to your address.
Can I trade in multiple drones at a time?
Yes you can trade in as many devices as you like where all the credit can go towards a new drone.
How do I pack my device for trade-in?
You will receive detailed instructions from our team regarding how to prepare your device for trade-in, however with shipping anything, you want to pack it securely and tightly so the drone does not sustain any damage during transportation.
If you have the original box, you may pack-it in the box, however you are able to trade the drone without the original box.
What if I am missing accessories that come in the box?
If you are missing original accessories that came with the drone, this may affect the value of your trade in as these items will need to be replaced.
Is my personal data safe?
Once the traded in drone is in our hands, our team will be formatting the drone, clearing any and all data stored on the drone. We recommend removing the SD card before submitting the drone to trade in and to back-up then erase all internal storage. After formatting, no one will be able to see your previous flight logs as well as images/videos taken from the drone.
Do I have to provide proof of purchase for the device Iām trading in?
No this is not required but may be requested. Stolen drones will not be eligible for the trade-in program and can be easily identified.
Are non-DJI branded drones available to be traded in?
Unfortunately only DJI branded drones are able to be traded in at this current time.
Can I trade in Enterprise DJI Drones?
Yes, you are able to trade in your DJI enterprise equipment for newer and more efficient equipment.
Can I trade in my drone for cash?
Unfortunately trade in is only for credit towards offsetting a new drone purchase, cannot be redeemed for cash.
How long will my trade-in quote be valid for?
You will have 7 days until the quote expires. We understand how life can get in the way so you are always welcome to be requoted.

Yes, your purchase with DronesKaki may be eligible for additional credit. Please provide proof of purchase upon trade-in.
